- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup Grape Nut cereal
Combine the heavy cream and whole milk in a mixing bowl. Blend them well together.
Then add the granulated sugar and continue to whisk until the sugar is dissolved completely. You will get a sweet and creamy base for your ice cream by doing this.
Add pure vanilla extract. Vanilla complements Grape Nut cereal beautifully.
The ice cream base should be poured into your ice cream maker. For churning, follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Prepare your grape nut cereal while the ice cream is churning. Crush it slightly to break down any large pieces, ensuring even distribution in the ice cream.
About 5 minutes before the churning process is complete, slowly add the Grape Nut cereal to the ice cream maker. This allows the cereal to mix evenly into the ice cream.
Once the churning is done, your Grape Nut Ice Cream will have a soft-serve consistency.
Transfer it to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
You can serve Grape Nut Ice Cream in bowls or cones when you are ready to serve it.
The contrast between the creamy ice cream and the crunchy Grape Nut cereal is a delight for the senses.
